| Abstract | The relationships between monthly IOS and categorical rainfall in Pelotas, Brazil is investigated for the 15 ENSO events considered by Trenberth (1997), between 1951 and 1997. 8 cases presented above nrmal rainfall over the majority of months, and only 3 below normal. The more important ENSO events related to above normal rainfall over Pelotas were 82/83, 86/87/88, 91/92, and 97. |
